There are a few things to check when fitting Ariat cowboy boots. 

1. Start by putting on the boots. Your feet should “pop” into place. 

2. Check for a slight heel lift - this is the gap between the insole of the boot and your heel, and it should not exceed more than 1/8th of an inch, or around 3mm. Having a small gap is necessary for a comfortable fit. 

3. Next, ensure the ball of your foot rests within the widest part of the boot’s outsole. 

4. Stand up in your boots and use your thumb to feel the distance between your toe's tip and the boot's end. Your toes should rest around one thumb-width away from the end of the boot.
