Exercise Sheets for Horses
Shop premium exercise sheets from leading equestrian brands at Oakfield. Exercise sheets are thin sheets designed to cover horses during riding sessions. They feature an opening in the saddle area, so the sheet and saddle can be worn without the risk of the saddle slipping. Our collection stocks exercise sheets for horses in various styles for year-round wear, including fleece-lined sheets for cooler temperatures and reflective sheets for riding on the roads. With top brands like Shires and Weatherbeeta, you can trust Oakfield to bring you only the best equestrian products. To browse more horse rugs, check out the range of turnout rugs at Oakfield.
What size exercise sheet for horses?
Exercise sheets are shorter than other rugs, so the sizing can be confusing if you’re unfamiliar. Fortunately, it’s easy to work out the correct size based on your horse’s measurements or the size of another rug.
Measure your horse from the highest point of the withers to the root of the tail to find the right size exercise sheet.
Are exercise sheets for horses necessary?
Exercise sheets are useful for your horse in some situations and environments. They can help your horse warm up before riding and keep the muscles warm during and after exercise, which can help soothe muscle soreness. They also provide some protection from the elements, especially if they are clipped. Many of the exercise sheets in this collection have hi-vis features, so they are useful for riding safely, too.
